The Tour de Yorkshire is due to come through Pollington on Thursday the 2nd May unfortunately we are already fully booked for the entire week so are unable to take any bookings for anyone wanting to stay in the village.
Yesterday was spent stocking up in the cash and carry which meant I was able to add some extra new fruity tea's as well as some flavoured syrups for the morning porridge. I actually tried the blueberry syrup on my cornflakes this morning along with some fresh strawberries and was surprised just how good it tasted with them. Also found some rather Jazzy emoji bottles of spring water which give the complimentory trays in the room a bit of a Jazz up! The weather over the past few days has been bright and sunny which has given me the extra motivation to do some extra spring cleaning and sorting out some jobs which I had been putting off.  My Picture of the day is from 3 years ago of Hilda my dog a Bastoodle ( Bassett x miniature Poodle).

    Iain:

Having worked for various local authorities for over 20 years and lived in several city locations in 2015 I made the decision to have a career change. I had local connections to the area and my grandparents had lived in Snaith. My brother was born in Snaith before my parents relocated to Stranraer, SW Scotland. I  regularly visited the area as my mum continued to visit friends and family. I viewed the property and could see the potential to run a Guest House by converting the ad joining barn. So its been a busy 4 years completing the renovation and 2 years running the business.
So now I've decided to keep a daily blog of my day to day.
    Hope you enjoy!
    Regards
    Iain
